About
The Wallis Gallery is a project dedicated to creating an ongoing, reputable and critical showcase for undiscovered talent. It has an emphasis on performance and live art, blurring the lines between viewed and experienced art.
The Wallis Gallery space in Hackney Wick closed at the end of 2008, but the project continues to organise shows and events in other permanent and pop-up spaces. Any ongoing events at the old space have no association with The Wallis Gallery.
The project is run by two Ruskin graduates, Edward Fornieles and Vanessa Carlos, and photographer Ross McNicol. The Wallis Gallery does not represent artists, and commission on sales that result from its exhibitions are re-introduced into the project to fund further exhibitions.
